The shrine is known as the setting of a famous folklore, “Kuzunoha Folklore.” A white fox dwelling in this Shinoda Forest gave a birth to Seimei Abe, Master of Yin and Yang. Approximately 700-years old gigantic camphor tree designated as a Prefectural Natural Product is called Camphor with “Thousand Branches” or “Couple Camphor.”
